Empty Nature of Exhaust Fumes

Well, finally I have returned to this blog. I have had difficulty deciding what to write - got strangely shy - and then finally decided to just use this as a way to share my journey on the path of the Buddhas. Amazing things have happened in my life and things to continue to unfold in the most amazing ways. It is my heartfelt wish that should you stumble upon this blog you come away feeling you've met a kindred spirit. I've met so many people who wish to delve more deeply into their spiritual lives but our western lifestyle seemingly precludes that. Fret no more! The Vajrayana Path of Tibetan Buddhism is a gift to westerners. It brings all activities to the path, meaning, you can practice anywhere, any time, with any situation! I remember a line from one of the first teachings I received from my teacher, Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, way back in 1983: "If you could really see the Truth, you could be sitting in traffic, watching the exhaust fumes from the car in front of you, and realize the empty nature of all phenomena. And when you realize that, compassion for all beings naturally arises because you understand that they do not know how to end their suffering." That was the beginning of my mind being 'hooked' - wanting to know more about this empty nature of all phenomena, and how to bring an end to suffering.
